Susan began her teaching career at Emmanuel-Redeemer, Yale, MI, where she taught third, fourth and fifth grades in a multigrade classroom. She married her husband, David, in 1982 and moved to Minnesota where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for her church. Susan also worked in South St. Paul as a Title I teacher and a management aide for children with special needs. In 1985 she accepted the Call to teach Kindergarten at Shepherd of the Hills, Inver Grove Heights. In 1989 David and she were blessed with a son, Justin. Susan took a leave of absence to be a stay-at-home mom. Soon after that her family and she moved to Muskego and joined the St. Paul's family where she was given many opportunities to serve as a Buble class and substitute school teacher in the school. In 1995, the Kuehl family added a daughter, Madeline. In 2001, St. Paul's extended to Susan a Call to teach Pre-Kindergarten here at St. Paul's. Susan moved to her current position of Kindergarten teacher in 2005. She has found that she enjoys early education and sharing her faith with her classes. She considers it a blessing to be able to work with dedicated Christian families and school staff here at St. Paul's.
